Claritas Software was established in April 1999 as a result of a growing demand for a specialist software development company in the European marketplace. The company evolved from a freelance consultancy business, IIT Consultancy Services, initially set up to serve the needs of a world wide client base solve their Year 2000 problems. With the introduction of the single currency, the Euro, IIT Consultancy Services expanded its services to assist its existing and new customers prepare for the changeover and provide education on the implications of the Euro on their business from an IT perspective. Clients indicated a need for a software solution that would automate the changeover process with the assistance of their in house financial team. As a result of this, we designed and developed Exchange-it, a multi-currency, multi-platform database conversion application.
